ALLOY WHEEL POWDER COATING
If you are considering getting your alloy wheels completely refurbished, a powder coating, rather than a traditional paint and lacquer finish is one of the options available to you.
Alloy wheel powder coating is a decorative finish for alloy wheels and is sprayed on like traditional paint, but it settles on the surface dry rather than liquid. It’s not until the coating is heat treated that the paint flows out of the coating and forms a gel over the surface of the wheel. The alloy wheel powder coatings need to be lacquered over the top to protect against UV damage, light scratches, pollution and wash swirls.
Every part of the rim is taken back to the substrate by blast cleaning, we then check for cracks, then after degassing the rims a hot zinc primer coat applied and a polyester powder coat finish coat.
Further coats are applied as diamond clear or tinted lacquers to give that special finishing touch. Some rims may not be suitable for powder coating, so if you are not sure then please feel free to ask one of our highly trained team.
Prices start from just £55 and we are normally cheaper than some mobile wheel refurbishment services but we never compromise on the quality of our work.
